Getting Interactive in Canvas with Nearpod This will be a make it and take it session. It's also a two-screener. You may want to be at your computer and have your Chromebook at hand (optimal), or use your Chromebook with your phone nearby (suboptimal). A working knowledge of Nearpod will be very useful, but not absolutely essential.
You know you've been itching to try a Nearpod session with your class. Or, maybe you've done one or two but now want to know how to add your Nearpod lessons to Canvas. Perhaps you're a Nearpod pro, but want to try adding a lesson to Canvas using the LTI. We will make a quick Nearpod lesson in Google Slides using the Nearpod Add-on
(install the Add-On prior to the session) and add the lesson in Live Mode using the LTI for those days when you are face-to-face with your students. We will also see how to add a Student-paced session to Canvas and how to share your content with the Canvas Commons without getting the reports from every teacher who uses your Nearpod assignment. If you have the courage to face your fears and try something new, join us! You won't regret it!
