Make Learning Sticky in the Digital WorldThis is an interactive two-screen session. We will be using Nearpod as the presentation vehicle, so you will be best able to participate if you have access to your computer and your Chromebook or your Chromebook and your phone.
Brain science has taken a new direction. In the last several years, researchers have begun to examine the actual learning process to help educators determine what techniques actually affect student learning and retention. Some of their recent findings are counterintuitive to what may seem obvious in the digital learning environment. In this session, we will examine current research about teaching and learning in the multimedia realm and what we can do to be more effective learning facilitators. After all, the learning happens between our students' ears. We can only help that occur. We will also look at 6 essential processes that help make our lessons "sticky." This session is going to unforgettable! (At least that's the theory.)
