Brian Fendrick
Weber School District
Cloud Engineer
Brian Fendrick is a person who thoroughly enjoys writing about himself in third person. After originally graduating with a degree in psychology, Brian worked as a journalist for six years, which led up to his interviewing a man who had been inspired by a cheesy motivational poster to drastically change his career at the age of 67. The poster had said, “What would you do if you knew you could not fail?” Brian promptly returned to school for a second degree and became a high school English teacher. After teaching high-school and college English courses for twelve years, Brian made a career shift into a cloud engineering role. In addition to bicycling, splash-padding, and park-exploring, his hobbies when he’s not with his nine- and twelve-year-old daughters include reading, running, playing video games until unhealthy hours of the night, and talking about Peloton ad nauseam.
